Deputies arrested a 19-year-old man early Thursday morning after he was accused of fleeing the scene of a hit-and-run crash that left a man critically injured in the West Little River area of Miami-Dade County.
Shortly after 8:40 p.m. Wednesday, Treyvon Hall was driving a black 2018 Dodge Challenger when he allegedly failed to stop at the intersection of Northwest 18th Avenue and 84th Street, according to an arrest report.
Authorities said Hall crashed into a white 1999 Infiniti QX4 and continued driving north before striking a parked 2022 Kia K5 located on the west sidewalk of 18th Avenue.
Following the impact, the Infiniti struck a tree on the northwest corner of the intersection. According to deputies, Hall then fled the scene on foot and jumped over a fence.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported the injured driver, who was listed in critical condition, to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Deputies later located Hall, who allegedly admitted he was the driver of the Dodge. According to the arrest report, he told authorities he had left his cellphone inside the vehicle and asked if his brother was OK.
Records show Hall was arrested at approximately 4 a.m. Thursday in West Little River and booked shortly after 5:10 a.m. at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
Hall faces two charges:
- Resisting an officer without violence.
- Leaving the scene of a crash involving serious bodily injury.
